Policy 01 // Rules

Terms of Use

These Terms govern access to the XFinit Gaming website, community forum, and related XFG-operated pages. By using these services, you agree to follow these Terms and the XFG Code of Conduct.

Community age

XFG is intended for people age 13 or older. If you are under the age of legal adulthood where you live, use XFG only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

1. The XFG services

“XFG,” “we,” “our,” and “the services” refer to the XFinit Gaming community, xfinitgaming.org, forum.xfinitgaming.org, and pages we directly operate. Links to Discord, YouTube, Twitch, game publishers, and other services lead to independent platforms with their own rules and privacy practices.

2. Forum accounts

  • Provide accurate account information and keep your email address current.
  • Protect your password and do not share, sell, or transfer your account.
  • You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.
  • Do not create accounts to impersonate another person or evade a restriction or ban.

3. Acceptable use

Use XFG for lawful gaming-community activity. You may not interfere with the services, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious software, scrape private information, abuse reporting systems, send scams or spam, or use XFG to violate another person’s rights. The Code of Conduct provides additional community rules.

4. Member content

You keep ownership of content you create. When you post content to XFG, you give XFG a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, moderate, promote, and improve the community. This license ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for reasonable backups, legal records, or content that other members have quoted or incorporated into discussions.

Only post content you have the right to share. You are responsible for your posts, messages, uploads, profile information, usernames, avatars, and links.

5. Moderation and enforcement

XFG may review reports, remove or limit content, close topics, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently ban accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce these policies, protect members, secure the services, or comply with law. Moderation decisions may consider severity, context, prior violations, and risk to the community.

6. XFG and third-party rights

The XFG name, original logos, site design, and original materials belong to XFG or their respective creators. Game names, platform names, logos, artwork, and trademarks mentioned by community members belong to their respective owners. XFG is an independent gaming community and is not affiliated with or endorsed by a game publisher or platform unless expressly stated.

7. Availability and changes

The services may change, experience downtime, or be discontinued. XFG does not promise that every feature or item of member content will always remain available. We may update these Terms when services, laws, or community needs change. The effective date at the top will be updated when a material revision is published.

8. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, XFG is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. XFG is not responsible for member statements, third-party websites, game services, or losses caused by events outside XFG’s reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Ending access

You may stop using XFG at any time and may request account assistance through the contact route below. Provisions that reasonably need to continue—such as ownership, moderation records, disclaimers, and lawful record retention—may survive account closure.

Policy 02 // Data

Privacy Policy

This policy explains the information XFG handles when people browse the main website, use an XFG Account, connect community services, register for the forum, participate in discussions, or contact the community team.

1. Information you provide

  • XFG Account information: email address, display name, email-verification status, identity-provider account identifier, and optional communication choices.
  • Forum information: forum username, email address, password hash, profile preferences, avatar, and other forum profile details you choose to add.
  • Connected services and creator profiles: when you choose to connect Discord, XFG receives your Discord user ID, username, display name, and avatar reference. XFG also stores creator-profile links, visibility choices, and whether you enabled streaming-profile synchronization. XFG never receives your Discord password, and the short-lived Discord authorization token used to verify the connection is not retained.
  • Community content: posts, topics, reactions, reports, attachments, private messages, and communications with administrators or moderators.
  • Support information: details you submit when asking for help, reporting content, appealing moderation, or contacting XFG.

Never post sensitive personal information publicly. Forum posts and profile details may be visible to other members or the public depending on forum settings.

2. Information collected automatically

When you access XFG, the website, forum, hosting provider, and security network may process IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page, browser and device information, session identifiers, login activity, error data, and security events. This technical information is used to deliver pages, maintain sessions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and protect accounts.

3. How XFG uses information

  • Operate the website, XFG Account, forum, member accounts, and community features.
  • Authenticate users and remember requested preferences.
  • Verify a connected Discord identity, prevent one Discord account from being connected to multiple XFG Accounts, and show the connected-service status you requested.
  • When you enable streaming-profile synchronization, check XFG Discord membership and creator eligibility, deliver selected creator links to the XFG streaming bot, monitor supported public streaming profiles, and support Discord live alerts, dashboards, and temporary streaming roles.
  • Moderate content, investigate reports, prevent spam, and enforce community rules.
  • Secure systems, diagnose errors, maintain backups, and prevent fraud or unauthorized access.
  • Respond to support requests and service-related messages.
  • Comply with valid legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of XFG and its community.

4. When information is shared

XFG does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with hosting, content-delivery, security, email, backup, and technical service providers that help operate XFG; with moderators who need it to manage the community; when you intentionally post content publicly; or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, address fraud or security threats, or protect people and rights.

When you deliberately connect Discord, XFG exchanges an authorization code with Discord and requests basic identity information under Discord's policies. When streaming-profile synchronization is enabled, XFG may check public status information from the creator platforms you selected. Third-party destinations linked from XFG receive information under their own policies after you choose to visit or connect them.

5. Retention

Account data is generally kept while an account remains active. Disconnecting Discord disables the connection and queues removal of synchronized profiles from the streaming bot. Removing a creator link stops future synchronization of that link. Limited revoked-link, delivery, and audit records may remain as reasonably needed to prevent duplicate linking, prove user-requested changes, troubleshoot delivery, secure the service, and maintain backups. Alerts or other content already posted to Discord are not automatically erased when a connection is removed. Posts and topics may remain after an account closes so conversations retain context, but the account may be deactivated or identifying profile details reduced where appropriate. Security records, moderation records, service logs, and backups are kept only as long as reasonably needed for operations, dispute handling, safety, recovery, and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and backup cycle.

6. Your choices and privacy requests

XFG Account members can add, edit, hide, or remove creator links; turn streaming-profile synchronization off; and disconnect Discord from Connected Services. Forum members can review or change many forum details through the forum User Control Panel. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of personal information. Submit a request through the XFG administrator contact page. XFG may need to verify that the request belongs to you before acting.

7. Children’s privacy

XFG is a general gaming community for users age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account or submit personal information if you are under 13. If XFG learns that it holds personal information submitted by a child under 13 without appropriate authorization, XFG will take reasonable steps to remove it. A parent or guardian may contact XFG using the administrator contact page.

8. Security and international access

XFG uses reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including HTTPS, access controls, password hashing provided by the forum software, and security monitoring. No online system is completely risk-free. XFG is operated from the United States, and information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by service providers.

9. Policy updates

This policy may be updated when the services or information practices change. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and may also be announced through the website or forum when appropriate.

Policy 03 // Browser

Cookie Policy

Cookies are small browser files that help websites maintain sessions and remember choices. Similar browser storage may also be used to remember privacy preferences.

1. Main XFG website

The main xfinitgaming.org page does not currently load optional analytics or advertising cookies. It uses local browser storage only when you save choices in the XFG Cookie Settings panel. Technical request logs may still be created by the web server and security network; those logs are not browser cookies.

2. Forum cookies

  • Necessary session cookies keep a forum visit connected to the correct session and support security checks.
  • Authentication cookies support sign-in and the “Remember me” feature when selected.
  • Preference cookies remember basic forum or cookie-notice choices.

Blocking necessary forum cookies may prevent sign-in, saved sessions, forms, or other forum features from working correctly.

3. Optional categories

XFG’s preference panel includes Performance, Functionality, and Advertising categories so members can record choices in one place. These optional categories are off by default. XFG does not currently load optional analytics or advertising cookies on the main website. If optional tools are introduced later, they must respect the recorded category choice before loading where consent is required.

4. Cookie settings

You can reopen the XFG privacy panel at any time to review or change optional preferences. Necessary cookies remain active when required to operate the forum. You can also delete cookies in your browser or use phpBB’s forum-cookie deletion page.

Open Cookie Settings

Delete forum cookies. Deleting cookies signs out sessions and clears saved browser choices, but it does not delete an XFG account or forum content.

5. Third-party websites

Links to Discord, YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Google Translate, game publishers, and other websites do not give XFG control over those services. When you visit them, their cookies and privacy policies apply. Selecting a non-English region from the XFG footer sends the current page address to Google Translate at your request.

Policy 04 // Community

Code of Conduct

XFG is built for players across games, platforms, skill levels, and backgrounds. Participate competitively, communicate clearly, and treat other people like members of the same community.

1. Respect other members

  • No harassment, targeted abuse, stalking, threats, intimidation, or encouragement of real-world harm.
  • No hateful conduct or demeaning attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or another protected characteristic.
  • No sharing another person’s private information, location, account credentials, private messages, or identifying details without permission.
  • Disagreement, criticism, and competitive banter are allowed when they do not become personal abuse or disruption.

2. Keep content safe and lawful

  • No illegal content, sexual exploitation, credible threats, malware, phishing, credential theft, or instructions intended to harm people or systems.
  • No sexually explicit content, extreme graphic content, or content that exploits or endangers minors.
  • Respect copyrights, trademarks, licenses, and creator permissions. Do not use XFG to distribute pirated games or stolen material.

3. Protect fair play and account security

  • Do not distribute cheats, malicious exploits, stolen accounts, unlock services, or tools designed to compromise games or players.
  • Do not scam, impersonate staff, misrepresent giveaways, or ask members for passwords, authentication codes, or payment credentials.
  • Do not evade bans, manipulate reputation systems, or organize harassment against players, teams, creators, moderators, or outside communities.

4. Avoid spam and disruption

Post in the appropriate area, use clear titles, and avoid repeated messages, deceptive links, unsolicited advertising, automated posting, or promotions that ignore forum-specific rules. Constructive self-promotion may be limited to places where moderators allow it.

5. Usernames, avatars, and profiles

Profile elements must follow the same rules as posts. They may not impersonate staff, contain hate or explicit content, expose personal information, advertise scams, or intentionally confuse other members.

6. Reporting problems

Use the forum report feature for posts and private messages when available. For account, safety, privacy, or moderation concerns, use the XFG administrator contact page. Do not retaliate against someone for making a good-faith report.

7. Enforcement and appeals

Possible actions include guidance, warnings, content removal, topic locks, feature restrictions, temporary suspension, or permanent bans. Serious safety, fraud, hate, exploitation, or security violations may result in immediate removal. Members may submit a concise, respectful appeal through the administrator contact page. Repeated or abusive appeals may be closed.

8. Immediate danger

If someone appears to be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. XFG’s administrators are not an emergency-response service.
